Benjamin Balthaser is Associate Professor of Multi-Ethnic U.S. Literature at Indiana University, South Bend and author of Anti-Imperialist Modernism: Race and Transnational Radical Culture from the Great Depression to the Cold War. His critical and creative writing has appeared in In These Times, The Massachusetts Review, and Criticism, among other publications.
