Originally from South Africa, Henk Rossouw has poems in The Paris Review and Boston Review, among other publications. His long poem Xamissa was a finalist for the Sillerman First Book Prize for African Poets. Excerpts of the poem are forthcoming in Tupelo Quarterly and Blackbird. He is about to graduate with a PhD in Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Houston, where he serves as a poetryeditor for Gulf Coast.
