The Folded Message
I have visions now–
a man in the deep grass opening his torso
my hair comes out in my hands
in the dark black glitter
of here
while the birds come and leave the sky destroyed–
I think of you
and the edible berries my guidebooks said were here, I think of you and the berries
while the plucked vine of wind
reverses
